This year has been so hard for Black people (especially my african-american brothers & sisters), I don't even know what to say.

We've had civil unrest (for our right to be treated equally), the pandemic affecting POC (especially black people) disproprotonately, all the black people who've been harassed for protesting, who've been stopped and searched unlawfully, arrested & killed by the police, all the black people who "hung themselves" randomly, the black people in Libya who are being exploited and sold into human trafficking, the black maids in Beirut abandoned after the explosions, the black disabled boy killed by police in SA today, and many many other injustices that have happened to black people over the last 8 months (and over human history), it's so fucking much. There's only so much trauma the body is built to absorb - to see people who look like you suffering all over the world, I can't explain how devastating and debilitating it is.

But, above all of this, I'm so proud of black people as a race, we've been through so so much but yet we continue to rise and better ourselves and come out on the other side stronger.

We can get through this.

6 years later and towards the end of this game's cycle. no pats on the back esp when they released them busted skins in 2018?! and let them sit for 2 years.

Twitter is limiting on what you can fit into a reply but there are so many other wonderful, beautiful, unapologetically BLACK creators that deserve credit for their fight the last 6 years.
The fact that it took High Value™ white simmers speaking up for The Sims to do anything is downright embarrassing. And the fact that they're being seen as the driving forces behind this? Fuck that.

Of course this isn't to say I'm not thankful change is happening. I am fucking thrilled for better representation! But the journey to get here has been extremely disappointing and telling of The Sims and their views on "diversity", and the process of this happening has been a double edged sword.
